I've noticed that the more I submit to deviantART, the less I actually care about it. It's possible that this popularity contest has left me weary, for just as many eyes will lock on to my page from a cleverly placed tag as they would if I posted random comments on other peoples high traffic pages with related content. Wasted words, I know, because I'm still here.
I've been at this for three days straight. Go check out the damn site, or else my feelings will be hurt. I can't make love to beautiful young women if I'm tired AND depressed.
Not that my two cents really has any effect on the changes made to the site, but it feels like more and more kids are on DA than there used to be. I'm not sure if that's a negative, but it's the kind of occurrence that eventually leads to more restriction and de facto censorshhip for those of us in the community who have interests outside of Nicktoon Fan Art, Twilight buttons, and boobies.
Anybody else sharing this sentiment? I surely can't be alone in this.
Moving into 2009 with uncertainty... just like everyone else.
So, I've got a few new film projects coming up, plus I've branched out into screenwriting. (Technically, I participated in re-drafting a script that had already been written, but those are merely semantics.)
I'm looking forward to an new opporunites that further my craft, but if 2009 is any bit as unpredictable as this year, then I'm gonna throw chance to the wind.
I am at a loss creatively as to where I want to go. Photography? Digital Sketches? Vectors? All sound found. I'll probably try them all to see what I'm best at.
I've really been finding a deep interest in photography lately. Outside of pursuing a hobby in true digital art, something about taking a good candid photo really gets my jollies. I want to buy a 50mm camera and something to shoot Macro with. I've not felt this hyped in a long while.
I happened upon DevianART by accident. I was looking for a unique wallpaper for my new laptop. But rather than just running through and right-clicking to my heart's content, I got sucked in by the many varied forms of artwork on the site.
Now I find myself telling every artist I know to visit the site.
